This recipe is addictive! And, it is incredibly easy! I, too, altered the recipe. I used only 1 c. onions, and used 1c. mayo and 1c. Miracle Whip. When I used sour cream, it was too runny. I reccommend this recipe for those who aren't trying to lose weight!

I have had this recipe for 25 years, it was in a cookbook I got as a wedding present and have made it many times over the years. My recipie calls for 1 1/2 c cheese and 1 cup mayo instead of equal parts and mine does not come out greasy. Just add as much or as little onion as you want for your taste.

We like this dip and have made it several times....however my husband enjoys it more than I do! The taste is fairly good however much too greasy and hard on the stomach--I think it tastes better when it has cooled down for quite some time.
