This recipe is addictive! And, it is incredibly easy! I, too, altered the recipe. I used only 1 c. onions, and used 1c. mayo and 1c. Miracle Whip. When I used sour cream, it was too runny. I reccommend this recipe for those who aren't trying to lose weight!

I have had this recipe for 25 years, it was in a cookbook I got as a wedding present and have made it many times over the years. My recipie calls for 1 1/2 c cheese and 1 cup mayo instead of equal parts and mine does not come out greasy. Just add as much or as little onion as you want for your taste.

We like this dip and have made it several times....however my husband enjoys it more than I do! The taste is fairly good however much too greasy and hard on the stomach--I think it tastes better when it has cooled down for quite some time.

I had my hubby's favorite (Miracle Whip on hand, but no real mayo. It came out really strong with that flavor! I'll have to try again with real mayo - but hubby really liked it!

I have made this spread several times and get lots of requests for the recipe. It is so simple to make and the results are yummy!

I had a pool party and made this spread and people went nuts over it. They put it on every thing from lamb chops to strawberries. Try it you will love it.

I made a few changes based on prior reviews using 1 C sour cream and 1 C mayo. It came out very runny, not what a spread should be. Not sure why.
Probably won't make it again...but still love Paula's show!!

I subbed green onions and added some garlic powder and cut down on the mayo to try something different. Spread this on a long baguette before baking. Truly evil!! Thanx, Paula

Presentation was very disappointing. Taste was good, but the consistency looked so awful that it took alot for my guests to get around that and give it a go.

Well, I can't really complain...except for the high-fat content of this dish. It took much longer to bake than recipe called for, but smelled delicious coming out of the oven. We ended up eating more than half of it in one sitting, but it really was a super-rich dish. Not quite sure if I would make it again...maybe with low fat ingredients? I wonder how it would turn out then...
