This is liked by all. Very rich and yummy. I spread it on a split lenghtwise French bread and baked for 8 min. at 375. That is yummy too.

I made this dish for New Years get together and my friends loved it! A lot of people talk about how greasy it is. There is a lot of cheese so I expected that. I did modify the recipe. I used 1 cup of mayo and mixed it with 1 cup of Miricle Whip. The cheese I used 1/2 cup of taco blend (colby, monteray jack, provelone cheese 1/2 cup mild chedar, 1 cup of Bistro blend (mild cheddar with dried tomatoes and jelapeno peppers. Instead of a regular onion I used a green onion. It gave it a nice color.

I liked the texture and easy of this recipe. There was too much onion for my taste, and it was pretty oily when ready to eat. The taste overall was good, but I would definetly cut the amount of onion in half.

made this over the holidays----seemed great when first taken out of oven---when you cut into it, there is an enormous amount of grease from the cheese and mayo---followed recipe exactly----the oil slick was a huge turn-off...

I have made this exact same recipe for decades. My bestest friend from high school STILL raves about it and serves it to her family often. We make it a tad bit different, in that we top sliced baguettes or sliced sourdough loaves with it and bake it at 400 for about 5 minutes, till the cheese mixture is lightly browned and bubbly!

I made this a while back and found it good but very greasy. I will try again based on other reviewer's suggestions.

When I made this the second time, I used no-fat mayo instead. It was less oily, but I still had to soak up the excess with a piece of bread before serving. But it is very tasty!

My friends all rave about this when I make it.. I use Colby/Jack blend and also have had it with Swiss. Don't overbake, it will break down. This is soo easy to make, and I keep the Scoop chips on hand for dipping.

I looked at some of the reviews before making this, so I made some changes based on everyones comments. I used 1C mayo & 1C sour cream plus I also used only 1C of onions, but I sauted them first in a little butter. I alos used 1C colby cheese & 1C sharp cheddar. It turned out great and everyone loved it!
