I read the reviews about it being very greasy and so I used 1 c fat free mayo with 1 cup regular and then used the already grated Colby jack cheese. I also used a heaping tsp of horseradish since I didn't have the hot sauce and it turned out wonderful In fact, I took it to a party and the bowl was scraped clean.

I made this dish for potluck on Bible Study night. Everyone loved it! I added 1 small can of lumped crabmeat--just for interest. I used packaged colby cheese; and I let it baked a bit longer. It was not greasy, but rich, thick and delicious. Next time, I will try adding jalapenos.

I like the recipe, but it needs more time to bake and maybe a bit less onion.

I agree that this dish tends to be a bit greasy. Someone on the FN message board suggested using Fat Free Mayo. Personally I like the recipe although it is not my most favorite. Yes there is a bit of grease at the top but a lot of that is due to the fact that 2 cups of cheese are in the recipe. I also do not use quite as much onion as the recipe calls for and I chop it a bit finer (I don't care for the huge chunks of onion. I have made this twice now and both times the pie plate is licked clean. Go figure!

IT WAS VERY GREASY AND THE FLAVOR WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. NOT THAT BAD.
I WILL NOT USE THIS RECIPE AGAIN

This was a big hit and so easy to make. Will definitely make it again. I didn't have colby cheese and used a "mexican" blend instead and it came out great.
