I made this for a friend visiting from San Francisco. We both chipped in the night before, and enjoyed the next day. This is absolutely sinful, and we enjoyed every calorie it must hold. Thanks for this special recipe!

I didn't know that there were any truly sinfuly breakfast items, well there is: this unbelieveable casserole. My sister & I served this for a Mother's Day brunch for our family. I've made it quite a few times since & my family can't stop talking about it! It's delicious to say the least.

Made this for Christmas morning and it was a hit! It works best with day old bread or lightly toasted bread. I reduce the butter to 1 1/2 sticks, the half and half to 1 1/2 cups and the milk to 3/4 cup. I also omit the pecans if I'm serving to small children.

You can't go wrong with this one! The casserole was a hit with the entire family. This will become a Christmas morning tradition for us as well as a great breakfast for guests. As suggested in other reviews, I only used 1 stick of butter for the praline topping and we didn't need the syrup either. Enjoy this one :

We prepared this recipe on Christmas morning. What a wonderful aroma that filled our home, and the taste was fabulous. Crunchy goodness in ever bite from the praline topping.
Thanks Paula!

This will be my Christmas morning brunch from now on! And it's so easy.
You make it the night before and all you have to do in the morning is bake it! And enjoy. Very easy, very delicious!

The topping on this was good, but somehow my casserole seemed a little too eggy.

When you take this out of the oven and the butter is bubbling on the top of the casserole, you won't want to wait to dig in. This dish was very easy to make and, as evidenced by the squeaky-clean casserole dish at the end of my brunch, very good!

I have had other baled french toast casseroles that were very good, but the addition of the praline topping gives the casserole that added umph. I recommend that everyone try this. Simple to make and a hit for any breakfast or brunch.
