This french toast recipe tasted even better than it looked on the show. It's the ultimate sweet indulgence. It would be an excellent addition to a brunch. It is VERY sweet and really needs no additional syrup. My family was very impressed! Thanks Paula.

I tried this recipe for a brunch. It was the "star of the show". I had to email the recipe to everyone who attended the brunch! It is easy to prepare and the flavor just makes you want more and more.

Yum!!!! What a hit! Made these for Father's Day breakfast, everyone loved them (even the kids. Most heard comment: Are there any left? Can you make this again tomorrow? Believe me, I almost did... very easy and addicting.
Could even use this recipe as a dessert (add some fruit as a stuffer.

This is one of those perfect recipes... so very easy, but it makes you look like a gourmet! The casserole was so yummy, very decedent. In fact, it was so good we didn't even need to use maple syrup!

My variation is to slice the bread a bit thinner than the recipe calls for. Place one layer in bottom of pan. Spread with a layer of mascarpone or ricota. On top of cheese, spread marmelade or jam of your choice. Then, add a layer of bread on top of the marmelade/jam. Pour the milk over the top layer. Refrigerate overnight.
