I really enjoyed this dish. I was skeptical at first because I am a picky eater, but I vert pleased with how this dish turned out.

This meal was very good. I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and omitted the seasoning salt and salt altogether- I felt that the tomatoes would make it salty enough and they did. I used Italian Seasoned ground turkey instead of beef. Added a bit more garlic and onions. It came out perfect. Very tasty. I wouldn't serve it for a dinner party but it is great for a family dinner during the week or a casual get together. Pairs nicely with garlic bread and a salad.

I first had this at my sister's house some time ago and made it shortly after that. Great and easy recipe, just be sure you plan ahead because it will take about 3 hours from start to finish. Also pick up 2 packs of cheese, I find the cheddar jack packs to be easiest. One bag isn't enough cheese, 2 (2 cup size is better, less dry.

I made this last weekend for my boyfriend and friends who had just had a newborn. It was so delicious and we ate leftovers for a week. Will definitely make again! Next time will buy 2 packs of cheese.

Great way to mix up a classic dish, although we like a white sauce on the top instead of just cheese.
