I've read the reviews and some complain the balsamic sauce won't thicken up. I double the recipe for the sauce, strain it to remove the garlic, and bay leaves(slotted spoonthen dissolve one tsp. cornstarch to a quarter cup water. Bring the sauce back to a simmer, add the cornstarch mixture and allow to thicken. How hard is it people. I've used this sauce for many years, its fantastic!

Made this the other night. The glaze was really good, but I did marinate the meat for an hour or so, before cooking it, so the meat really drew in the flavor. Next time, I'll try a better cut of meat, because the London Broil was a bit tough. This glaze would also be great on chicken! We had a Food Network night, I made this with Sandra Lee's fried corn and Rachael Ray's butter and Parm squished potatoes! Everything was a great.

I made this last night and was not impressed. I followed the instructions to the letter and there just was not any taste to it. Perhaps marinating the meat somehow for a couple hours might help. I love Paula Dean....but I think I'll just stick with making her desserts and stay away from her main dishes....they're always a let down. :-(

I did not like this recipe. I even came back to read it to make sure I had the measurements right. First of all I did double the "glaze" as others suggested. I had to add a lot more brown sugar than called for to give the balsamic a slightly sweet flavor. It never turned syrupy. I broiled the meat a little longer as I do not like it rare. It still came out a bit more red than I prefer, however, my son did like it. Was not thrilled with this recipe and won't be making it again.

So yummy. The only problem was that I had to cook the london broil 4 minutes longer than the recipe says to. Other than that, sooooo good!

It was so tender, we ate it for 2 days. I might increase the about of sauce next time to get a better coat on both side but awesome, definately will make it again.
