This recipe was SO easy, and amazingly delicious - it is now a standard for any occasion - I even threw in the toffee with sliced bananas and a couple of graham wafers (whole and ate it like that! Definitely try it.

This is such a quick and simple recipe. Everyone was thrilled with the taste and texture. Just what the food Doctor ordered.

I had this in England several years ago and never even thought of attempting to prepare it myself. Then I saw Paula's version and just had to try it. What a hit!

I was shocked at how easy this pie was to make and very scruptious! The pie was a huge hit at my luncheon. My hat's off to Paula for yet another great recipe.

After watching Paula's show, I decided to make her banoffee pie. I cooked the condensed milk as directed, and even longer, hoping for the rich caramel color I saw on her show. It never appeared, and never quite firmed up as it did for her. This could be due to our high elevation? Anyway, I went ahead and finished it. Everyone loved how it tasted, and I was the only one disappointed because I knew how it should really look. I would try it again if I knew how to fix the problem.

I had this in London, and searched high and low to find a recipe for it when we got home. Found one before seeing Paula's, and have been making it that way ever since.

It's pretty much the same thing, EXCEPT, I use a big deep pot, filled with water, and boil the closed can of milk about 3 hours. You have to make sure the water NEVER gets down past the middle of the can, but this works like a charm! After 3 - 3.5 hours of boiling, I take it out, flip it, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. When I first open the can, it is still a little thin, but if you'll stir it well, getting everything off the sides and bottom, it thickens right up!

I followed the directions exactly and the pie was very runny. I thought that the toffee mixture had completely cooled, but make sure it has before you add it to the pie. It tasted great though. We ended up using it as a topping on ice cream. Kind of like bananas foster. I also think that it called for too much butter in the crust recipe, could probably cut it in 1/2.

we made this and it was very simple and easy to make. We added a thin layer of chocolate pudding between the whip cream and the banana/toffee mixture.
