This is a very tasty and unique way to cook up some cabbage. I have a ton of it from our garden, and was firing up the grill for the holiday weekend. Parboiling the cabbage helps cut down the cook time on the grill. It was messy and a bit soggy - I think next time, I will do a better job of draining the cabbage after parboiling it. It sure tasted good though!

I cooked from the recipe--did not see the show. Recipe needs to state that the butter is added to the bacon and onions that are being softened.

I paired this with grilled lamb ribs simply because it was the only green vegetable I had on hand. Cooking the cabbage in this manner "softened" the flavor and made the pairing very nice.

Usually reserved for boiling with ham or slaw this was a great new idea. I parboiled a while longer. We were doing ribs on a very low grill temp so I put the cabbage on for the last hour with the ribs. The two of us ate half the head it was so good!

I LOVE this stuff! I saw Paula make it on her show and thought it looked delicious, and boy was I right!!! It is even great the next day heated up in the microwave. Hubby and kids all liked it (which is a tough crowd enough that it keeps being requested at my house. Thanks for this recipe Paula!

I was in the hospital watching Paula on TV, when this recipe was given. A few weeks later, my husband and I tried it and was amazed at the taste. I never knew cabbage could be this good. Great going Paula!!

I thought that this looked interesting to make and sounded wonderful. I was so wrong. The cabbage never really cooked and the bacon did not get down into the cabbage layers. After dinner my guests and I discussed ways to make it better and determined that there was no hope for this dish...nothing could make it worth trying it again. Sorry Paula.

Made this for Father's Day family cookout and it was a hugh success. Plan to make it again for the 4th of July cookout. Easy and delicious. Parboiled it for longer than called for so it cut down on grill time.
