This is a stunner! My guests can't get enough of this. I used kielbasa instead of bacon though. I've also chopped the cabbage layered it in a crock pot with the filling and taken it to a pot-luck. It was GONE! You can also mix it all up and bake it in a cassarole dish. The only problem with not grilling the whole cabbage intact is that it ends up a little too wet but it's still delicious.
    Love ya Miss Paula!

I was really pleased with the outcome of this recipe. It was flavorful and tender. I recommend this for your next barbecue. I did parboil the cabbage for 30 minutes. Fortunately I saw the cooking show. Thanks Paula for helping with a healthy veggie on the grill !! I think the bacon, barbecue mixture is a great topping for burgers. My husband doesn't eat cabbage but he like the bacon on his burger !!

I watched the show and Paula said to boil the cabbage for a few minutes. This step was not shown in the recipe. Please update the recipe.

    Thanks

Easy and delicious! On the show she par boiled the cabbage for twenty minutes or so before putting on the grill. I would suggest that as otherwise it is a long grilling process and can become rather charred. The sauce could be used for anything!

I do agree with prior reviews as far as parboiling the cabbage 1st. The prep time in the recipe says 10 min, but the cooking time shows over 1 hr.If If wouldn't have seen the show first I would have had no clue to parboil.I also would NEVER have thought to grill a cabbage with bacon, onions & barbecue sauce...great recipe for cabbage LOVERS!
