This recipe is really great for several reasons - it uses ingredients every homemaker already has in her pantry, is very quick and easy to put together, doesn't need any watching while cooking and tastes good. The flavors blend together very well. I made slight alterations by adding a chopped garlic clove and a bit of honey and cooking it in a 300* oven for 3 hours - served with rice.

This was a winner in our home tonight. The short ribs were so tasty. I did triple the ingredients so the ribs would soak in the flavor. I cannot wait to make it again. (So filling that I now have to head straight to bed.... zzzzzz

THE RECIPE LOOKED LIKE IT WOULD BE VERY TASTY BUT INSTEAD TASTED LIKE MCDONALD PATTIES AND HOTDOGS. WE FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS WORD FOR WORD AND IT JUST DOESNT APPEAL TO OUR TASTE BUDS.

I followed the recipe almost exactly except I substituted boneless short ribs (from Costco for the bone-in ribs in the recipe. I doubled the gravy ingredients because I wanted lots of sauce for the egg noodles that I served with it. It was a huge hit with everyone! Very tasty, very tender!

I made these ribs and they were so simple to make, and so tender that the bones fell away from the meat and one could eat it with just a fork. i served it with white rice to put gravy on. i did add some garlic powder, but next time i think i will add some chopped fresh garlic while the onions cook. my husband and kids finished the entire thing. this is going to be a regular at our house.

This recipe for short ribs was excellent.! They had great flavor and were so tender. The only thing I added was some chopped garlic. Served them over a bed of couscous and baked sweet potatoes on the side.

The bbq didn't really stay on the ribs. I think there was too much fat on the ribs and it made the sauce incredibly greasy. I like the idea of using the dutch oven though.

Fail safe recipe. Most of the ingredients are in your pantry or frig. Come out perfect every time. So tasty, family loves them! First time I cooked them, perfect, 2nd time ditto, 3rd same. I like mine with a little more sauce so I add a bit more liquid. Winner!

This Is the third time I have made these ribs. they do need to cook a good 2-3 hours. I sprinkle lots of cracked pepper and some salt on them, I add more onion than the recipe says ( 1/2 cup I use dijon mustard., They are delicious and tender. I made a fan out of my husband who previously said short ribs were too fatty and tough., Very very good
