Like the earlier review, I had a lot of sauce left over. I let this loaf cook probably for an 1 1/2 hours. I let the sauce thicken up and was really good. I also used the meat that is a mix, beef, veal, pork and it was so lean and had great flavor. I also Used John Boy & Billy BBQ sauce to the meat also and we are looking forward to leftovers tonight. A really good change, from the normal ketchup topped loaf of meat.

The meatloaf was delicious, but I ended up with an awful lot of saucy gravy. I was following the recipe as printed in the cookbook (Lady and Sons,Too and it did not say to add the water only if the sauce was too thick. I usually read the recipe reviews first and wish I had done so this time. I also added chopped celery and a little garlic powder to the meat mixture, just because we like them in meatloaf. Next time, I'll see how thick the sauce is before I add any water. Having the barbeque flavor was certainly good and a nice change from the ketchup I usually use as a topping for meatloaf.

I am not a meatloaf lover but after watching Paula make it on her show I gave it a try. It was very good! My family loved it served with a baked potato and salad.Great flavor! Not a boring old meatloaf.
