This recipe is great prepared in a crock pot. Rub and marinate the night before. In the morning place the pork and the liquid ingredients (vinegar, etc. in the crock pot. Cook on low for 8-10 hours (depending on the size and temp of the pork and crock pot. Come home from work to a delicious aroma and meal.

Wonderful pulled pork without having to have a smoker.

Does anyone know if you're supposed to boil down the cooking liquid to use as the BBQ sauce?

After trying so many pulled pork recipes, I've finally found myy keeper. I also added more smoke flavoring and used the garlic powder in the dry rub, actually in the wet as well. Much garlic is a good thing! Not being a southerner I was unsure about the vinegar and the cole slaw ON the sandwich. But the vinegar makes it delicious and the cole slow on top is the only way to go! Thanks Paula!

I made this last night and it turned out great! I had a slightly smaller roast which only took 3hrs to cook rather than 4, but the flavor was great and the texture was perfect.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Paula for creating such an easy and tasty dinner! I made this according to recipe, except used minced garlic in the rub and no garlic in the liquid. Used Wagner's liquid smoke and did use 1 Tbls. Topped it off with some crunchy cabbage and Sweet Baby Ray's Vidalia Onion BBQ sauce. WOW! Home run! Thanks Paula!

I wanted to make these for a party, so I decided to give them a test run. The result was the absolute best pork sandwiches I have ever tasted, hands down. The meat was unbelievably tender, and the flavor from the sauce & marinade was outta this world. My husband's been telling everyone how amazing they were. I think that next time though I will cut the liquid mixture in half, as there was so much extra. Also I like the little kick from the cayenne, but I might cut that in half too in case not everyone likes spice. But this recipe is a perfect crowd pleaser. It goes down on my list of all time favorites. You rock Paula!

This is the best, smoked, pork meat I have ever tasted. I love the idea of being able to fix smoked meats, inside, even in the winter!

I watched Paula make this on Food Network and I knew that that recipe was bound to be a favorite with my family!

    Thanks!

This is the best pork I have tasted. The vinigar takes away the richness of the pork.

I made this recipe last week and ended up having to share the pork with my whole family! So I just had to make it again for just my husband and I (and the kids because it was so good! And I'm not sharing this time! It's great in the crock pot too!
