If you follow only 1 Paula Deen recipe... make it this one! I have always gotten rav reviews on my pulled pork, but saw this one on her show and decided to try it. My family barely even spoke or looked up from their plates when I served this, it was so delicious... we couldn't stop eating! I pulled the pork and instead of serving as sandwiches, I served the meat over homemade garlic mashed potatoes... HEAVEN. The rub is so good... just the right mix of sweet and kick! Home run! The next night, we had a little leftover, so I made it into enchiladas, with cheese and a little of the juice from the pork that I reserved. Double Wow!

I'm making it now in a lodge Dutch oven and I'm a little confused. It says to cover tightly with aluminum foil... Do I put it over the meat then put the lid on? Or put it over the top of the pan and put the lid on?

Awesome! This is the best BBQ I have ever had. Moist, tasty, easy to make. I have also used the slow cooker instead of the oven and it works great. .I just reduce the liquid by half.

Best pulled pork I have ever had, made it for 4th of July celebration and everyone loved it. Great as sandwiches with BBQ sauce, sliced jalapenos, and as breakfast burritos with cilantro and eggs, and yummy as tacos. Freezes well!

Delicious! My husband is a picky eater AND loves pulled pork. I was a little skeptical. He loved it. I think it was super easy to make. I forgot the liquid smoke and it still turned out perfect. Also, I used a crock pot instead of a dutch over. Fantastic!!!

I made this for the first time about a month ago and am making it again for our Labor Day picnic for the 3rd time!! Two of my friends have also asked for the recipe and made it for their families. It is THE BEST Pulled Pork I've ever had and needs no sauce. Abs delicious. The only change I made was to let it sit with the rub overnight and I added more liquid smoke. Try it, you'll love it! Thanks Paula :

Wow!!!! My husband loves bbq and is very picky about it. He loved this!!! This meat just fell apart, it was so easy. I put the braising liquid on the pork which is amazing, but still used bbq sauce. This was an amazing meal.I can not wait to wow my family and friends with this recipe. Never eating at another BBQ place again. Thanks Paula!!!

I've always been afraid of pork - but fear not, this is soooo easy and you'll be the talk of the table. Made this for a surprise b-day party and the left overs were better the 2nd day (if you get that lucky! Only changes to the recipe was a little less cayenne (I love it spicy-but some at the party did not and added the garlic powder to the rub as suggested below. No need for BBQ sauce as it was "DE-LISH-US" just outta the pan! Not sure what the issue is w/the "smell" as my house smelled like a BBQ restaurant-my husband and the pups loved the way it smelled! PS - it was the Mother in Law's Surprise Party - I was the one surprised when she called the next day to compliment me and ask for the recipe - all the "cred" went to Paula - thanks for making me look like a rockstar (or chef!

Delicious. Marinated the pork overnight, then cooked it in a crock pot on high for 6 hours. No need for BBQ sauce as the braising liquid is the bomb. One thing though, I forgot the cayenne on the dry rub and was so very glad I did. The amount of black pepper was more than enough spice for this dish.
