Great rub. I was going to make the shoulder, but decided to put the rub and some chicken wings and they were great. I had pulled the recipe for Pat's famous hot wings, but i have used their rub before and i did not like it, so i used Paula's glad i did. This rub is good for more than just one thing. Thanks Paula

OUTSTANDING!!! One of the best recipes ever! I have been cooking for a long time and this is really one of the best meals I have ever made. The pork was so tender that it fell apart when I tried to move it out of the dutch oven and onto a platter. I did not use bbq sauce bc the sauce it cooked in was good enough. The pork had a kick to it, so if you don't like spicy you probably want to cut the cayenne pepper in half. I loved it just the way it was and so did my 7 year old son. I will go to bed tonight dreaming of this recipe.

I also made it for a University tailgate party a few weeks ago. The flavor was great!! It was easy to take along and serve. I live in a small townhouse so the smell was a little overwhelming, but it was well worth it.

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!
I made this Barbeque for our tailgate party when we were celebrating University's Homecoming. Everyone raved out this BBQ sandwich. I intend to use this recipe again and again. As stated by other reviewers marinate overnight or as long as you can and cook the pork low and slow, don't rush it. You will definitely enjoy the final product. Bon Appetit!

Doubled the recipe to make for a crowd and it was delicious. I agree about the marinating and SLOW cooking. I marinated overnight and cooked all day. It was so tender and easy to pull apart. Everyone raved!
    Thanks Paula!

I've never prepared pulled-pork before but the recipe looked so good and Paula made it seem so easy that I decided to give it a try. Thanks to the reviewers for the tip about the smell. I cooked the roast in a slow cooker in our detached garage. I liked the smell but it would definitely have overpowered my house. I put the rub on and refrigerated overnight, then cooked for most of the following day. It was every bit as easy as Paula said it was and absolutely delicious. My husband and I ate it for a couple of days and I froze the rest in serving sizes for later. I will be making this for family gatherings and potlucks, too, as it is also not all that expensive. Thanks for making me look good, Paula!
