This was WAYYY too salty. I did not even use all the seasoning for the meat. Was also a little too peppery. Had to throw it out.

This was the best Beef Stroganoff recipe!! So flavorful, and not too salty at all! Reading some of the other reviews, Paula says season the meat to your liking with her house seasoning so I just sprinkled what I thought was right. Do not use the entire recipe which is a 6 month supply (which by the way I used her house seasoning tonight on raw broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots which I roasted in the oven for 15 min with olive oil and it was so tasty. I probably added 1 1/4 c sour cream and a little more pepper at the end, but other than that the recipe is fabulous!!

My husband said this was the best Stroganoff he has ever eaten! He hardly ever goes for seconds, but he actually went for thirds. Since I don't like the taste of Cream of Mushroom Soup, I substituted Campbell's Cream of Onion soup, which I didnt' know existed. Super!

I love this recipe...it is so tasty.
For those of you who keep saying this recipe is too salty then you apparently did not season it correctly. Paula clearly states to "season the steak strips". ...she did not say use the entire tub of House seasoning.
I've made this several times and my husband and I love it! Thanks, Paula!
(I read a review where one person used stew meat that had been marinated in red wine for several hours...I'm trying that...YUM!

Eatup67, I totally agree with you on the salt, VERY MISLEADING! I did exactly what you did, I threw out expensive meat and almost ordered Chinese. Very upset because the flavoring was actually very good minus the salt. I'm pregnant and my husband and I were really craving this and looking forward to eating it. I'll try it again and use my own judgement on the salt. Now can I have 20 dollars back for the meat?

All I have to say is, it is a Paula Deen recipe, of course it is good!

I retired a year ago and started cooking. I followed the recipe to the letter, including "adjust seasoning to taste." I used the house seasoning and added a little more garlic. My wife and I loved the flavor! The sauce was a little runny. I'll thicken it up next time. Thanks for the recipe Paula, you don't disappoint me! Your fried okra and your lasagna recipes are outstanding! Thanks for helping a novice cook!

My family absolutely loved it, I avoided making this recipe because of the mushroom soup, but I needed a quick dinner and this fit the bill. I did not use house seasoning, just some salt with meat, but added some worsteshire sauce when I added the meat back. Very easy and tasty, and did not mind the thin sauce, it coated the noodles very well!! Great Job Paula!!

Sauce very runny, had to add cornstarch dissolved in milk to thicken it up a bit. Really sad its made with canned soup since a roux is so very easy. Glad I saw the reviews about the "house seasoning" cus the way it's worded it seemed like you wanted us to just dump the beef into it, then try and get flour to stick to it. I find it interesting that the reviews in which it was tasty the cooks in question seasoned it their own way and not with the "house seasoning" since a mix of salt, pepper, and garlic is pretty boring as a total seasoning anyway. I'm sorry Paula, I expected better from you. Guess I'll stick to Alton Brown from now on!

Sauce too thin and lacked flavor. Would try a different recipe next time and not use canned soup.
