This was very good. I used ground beef and added a little dried parsley at the end. My husband loved it!

Wow! This recipe is wonderful, down home, comfort food. We all loved it! I too, did not use the sour cream .......this makes it "very" rich ........ just personal preference. Also, I add butter & chicken bouillon in cooking my noodles. Mmmm, good!! As for MacCookin, & others who messed up by using "ALL" the seasoning ,,,,,,,,,,, "READ, READ, READ this recipe!!! I Love Paula Deen's southern cooking! Thanks Paula!

MacCookin you should try again....it was a great recipe but you were not supposed to use the whole batch of house seasoning in one recipe. They provided the separate recipe for the seasoning so that you could store it and use later.

MacCookin'. In all fairness, I do believe that the house seasoning is a large batch to use over time not all at once in a recipe. If you read, it states that you can store it up to 6 months. I tried this recipe and as it states lightly to cover them. It was a hit in our house.

Whoever wrote this recipe apparently has no taste buds. Followed the recipe exactly the salt content about blew my head off. The "House Seasoning" apparently has some errors in it. 1 cup of salt and garlic powder! Very poorly done, a colossal waste of time a money.

The flavors are great!! I tweaked the recipe however because I like a thicker sauce. I added more steak, flour, & mushroom soup, and added in only a quarter can of the beef broth at a time until i got the consistency of sauce that I wanted. I ended up using about 2/3 can of broth. Used a touch more olive oil & butter. The sour cream is a matter of preference, I don't think its needed, but still tastes good with it. I add butter and a tablespoon of chicken bouillon to the water when boiling my noodles....yummy! Very easy and filling meal!
