I believe that some earlier reviewers misunderstood the recipe. Paula gives a recipe for her “House Seasoning “ and instructs to “Sprinkle” the strips with the seasoning. I think that some may have and added ALL of the house seasoning , of course that would be far to salty. Never the less if you are very sensitive to salt, cut it in half and use non salted butter, that should help.
This recipe was FANTASTIC! Rich, homey, comfort food that I will make again. Severed with a nice rustic bread and tossed salad it was a hit!
Thanks Again Paula and Food Network for sharing!!

This is so easy and great tasting. I have made it several times. Don't let anyone see you putting the mushroom soup into this, they'll think you're crazy but it makes it great. I splurge with filet. Love this recipe, thanks Paula.

Not too bad. I added more steak, broth & mushroom soup. Used a touch more olive oil & butter. No sour cream needed. Very easy and filling meal!

A little salty with the cans of soup and added salt was a little too much. I did not add garlic salt too, omg that's too much. Thanks to the reviews, I skipped that step.
I omitted the sour cream and butter.
It might be too salty to me and not others, I don't use canned foods, so it might just be personal preference, but it was a nice dish.

I wish I could thank Paula myself for this recipe! I'm pregnant and was craving beef stroganoff. I came across this and just had to try it! It's great! My husband loved it too!

Came out great. I used yogurt instead of sour cream and added extra beef broth to make it saucier. If I may suggest one thing: cook your noodles in chicken broth and butter. The flavor is out of this world paired with the beef.

Yum, yum!! Wonderful flavor, but I must admit I did tweak Paula's recipe ever so slightly by seasoning the meat using garlic salt and pepper rather than making her house seasoning recipe using garlic powder. Also, since i love a slighlty thicker gravy, additional flour mixed with water was stirred into the sauce making the consistency perfect. This is a keeper in my collection of comfort food recipes! Thanks Paula!

Hahahaha!! How funny, that some people would actually put the whole batch of seasoning into this one dish!! I know the recipe doesn't say specifically how much to use... but I mean COME ON, it's called common sense.
Anyway, this recipe is one of my favorites to make, and it is my husband's absolute favorite thing for dinner. I leave the mushrooms out because he and the kids are picky and don't like them, but that is the only change I make and it's a hit every time. So yummy.
