I was a little hesitant at first to make this because some of the reviews say its just ok.. but this is absolutely delicious! I DID use the cube steak and it becomes very tender after simmering for about 30-40 minutes. Also, I added some red wine for a little extra flavor! This is a must try recipe if you are looking for a great comfort food recipe!

Was quick to make and had good flavor. I did add a little paprika, I also suggest adding a little dill weed, really brings out the cream! I only gave it 4 stars because I thought the medium sized onion was a bit much. Also PLEASE BE ADVISED, the house seasoning is not meant to go in the dish! I about cried myself to tears reading the reviews saying 1cup of salt was way to much! It's just to season the meat, not to be added to the dish. Enjoy!

Wow Paula, this has got to be one of your recipes that doesn't require 25lbs of butter. And that's great, delicious and easy to make.
Apparently you have some cavemen here that can't follow simple "wordage" in your recipe. lol.
And you don't have to fix something with that issue. Just keep on doing wonders in the kitchen!
My rendition is to add some more herbs. I've added fresh garlic, thyme and oregano (just a little for subtle flavor.

My husband loves beef stroganoff. I've tried to make it several times using different recipes but this one is definitely the best. This recipe is also the easiest I've tried and will be made again and again to be sure. Thanks Paula!

Wonderful recipe! I make it at least 3-times a month. I love spicy food so I add crushed red pepper flakes to give it a kick! I also add red wine 1/2 cup to give it that rich flavor. To cut down on all the fat I use, fat free sour cream (using less than what she says, I can't believe it is not butter, low sodium beef broth, and fat free cream of mushroom soup. Enjoy!

This was a very good meal. Easy and quick. I found it to be flavorful, but I can see why others would think it was a bit bland. I simply added some other pepper to spice it up. ALSO...you guys that complain about the salt, etc. need to read more. She gave a recipe for a shaker full of house seasoning. Come on guys....use your head.
At any rate, a good quick meal that I will make again.

The house seasoning is meant to last you six months. It is NOT meant to go into one dish. When I saw that you put half a cup of salt into the recipe I laughed so hard I cried. Please read the recipe before you make the dish.
I made my house seasoning a month ago and I continue to use it.

My husband and I work different shifts, then add to that I work with animals so I'm always looking for something quick, hearty, easy and something that will reheat well. This recipe was fantastic and fit into our bu We busy life style so well. We had it on noodles one night and a few nights later we had it on mashed potatoes. Thank you Paula, this is a yummy winner.

This was the quickest meal to put together. I bought pre-sliced mushrooms, so I only had to slice the steak and one onion. What could be easier??? And it's economical too.
Try it you will like it. Thanks Paula Honey, you have done it again!!!
