I did not like the type of meat she used in this. I added a little parsley for color.

My family loved it. It was my first time eating stroganoff, it was good, but I didn't like the cut of the meat that was called for and it seemed like it was missing something a little spicy or something with a kick. Overall, very good for a home made dish.

I made this receipe lastnight and my husband and I both loved it. I had sirloin steak in the freezer so I used that instead of round steak, I sliced it in very thin slices and cooked a little longer so that the steak was tender. We love to have leftovers and this was a winner. Had for dinner lastnight and have enough for another night. YUMMY!!!!

PD has done it! I was looking for a recipe for Beef Stroganoff because I was craving it. I did substitute what kind of meat I used based on a recommendation from the Meat manager at the local grocery store. It did take a little bit of time to make but that was fine with me. I cook for only one. I had Stroganoff for 3 days. And I passed the recipe on to a co-worker who's a vegetarian who's going to make a few substitutions and try it out. I would recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a GOOD Stroganoff recipe.

I have hated stroganoff since I was a little kid. I used to just make it because everyone in my family loved it. I made this recipe last night and went back for a second plate. I thought it was so good. The only thing I had to do different was add a little more flour towards the end. Thanks Paula you have out done yourself again.

I was hesitant to cook this recipe only because I THOUGHT my Mom made the best stroganoff...I was wrong. This was an instant hit with the family and had everyone asking for more. Quick. Easy. Delicious!!!!

Way to go, this was excellent!!!!!!! I took the suggestion to add paprika, nice twist. This tasted even better the 2nd day. Next time I will try this in the slow cooker. This is a must try!

USE UP LEFT OVER POT ROAST OR RIB ROAST! I did change this up a bit to use some left over rib roast I had. I cut up the rib roast left overs and heated it up in the butter and oil then followed the direction as Paula stated. I also added 1/4 cup dry white wine to saute the onions and mushrooms. I didn't have stock but used beef base and water. At the end I also used a shot of mustard as my mother in law use to do. I have to say it was a hit in my family! I have 5 kids and two that wont touch a mushroom and both ate this. For the person who rated this and said it lacked flavor not sure what you did but it is very flavorful. That was the first thing my 6 yr old said when he tasted it "wow this has lots of flavor".LOVED IT !!! Will keep it for next left over pot roast or rib roast.
