I just made this dish. Not only was it really easy, but very good. I add some ground red pepper to Paul's house seasoning as a rule. It gives this dish, and all the others, a little needed heat. Also, I am on a low salk diet, so I used low salt beef broth and low salt mushroom soup. The addition of the red pepper helps me miss salt a little less. I also added in a clove of chopped garlic when I sauteed the onions and mushrooms.
I had a large piece of tenderloin in the freezer that I used. Since this is already a tender cut of meat, I was able to cut down the simmer time to 10 minutes rather than 30. I also used about 6 ounces of sour cream instead of the 8 listed in the recipe.
I will make this one again for sure.

I had never ever made this dish before but after reading your recipe I felt I just had to, and I am soooooo glad. Even my 17 yr old extremely picky nephew loved it, and requested that I make it more often. Thanks!, it was simply delicious and easy.

This was really quick and easy to make but I felt it could have had more flavor. I would make it again though, thanks Paula!

This was a very easy and very tasty recipe. I think I may have coated beef with too much flour b/c it was a little pasty. I used a better cut of beef as it was on sale and it was so tender. I used whole wheat egg noodles and my family couldn't tell once the gravy was on top:- Would defintiely make again. Thanks Paula!!

My husband and son loved loved loved this. I thought there would be leftovers, but that was in my dreams. It is so quick and easy and simple. I just called my daughter and told her she HAS to try this one. Thanks Paula, good old home cooking for everyone.

This was such an easy recipe! My husband and stepdaughter are very picky eaters and they loved it! Both of them went back for seconds! This is something that I will fix regularly.

I had sirloin tips on hand so used that instead of round steak...also added garlic since we love it but otherwise I adhered to the recipe. It's delicious and so simple. Thanks, Paula Deen, you rock!

I made this dish recently as I was home on my day off from work and didn't want to go to the grocery store....again. So I went on line to find a recipe that I could do with ingredients I had on hand. I have a freezer of home grown beef but needed a new way to cook it. This stroganoff was delicious and super easy. Even my pasta hating husband loved it with the egg noodles. He had seconds for dinner (as did my 16 year old son and was even excited to take it in for lunch/leftovers. Paula knows food!! Thank you food network for having this site as a valuable resourse. You saved me a trip to the store and made me a meal that fed the 3 of us two times which really stretches those food dollars.
