I was disappointed. tasted like cream of mushroom soup, like the other reviewer mentioned. Although I sprinkled some truffle salt on it and.... then it had flavor. I won't make this again

Wow, this is VERY good! I used a left over strip steak which made it even that much easier! The flavor amazing. I will make this again.... ok and again! I recommend this to everyone...very easy!

Very tasty- the cube steak was so tender- and the flavors were rich and satisfying.
Thanks for another great idea for cube steat instead of the 'ole stand by of chicken fried..nice change.
    I strongly recommend!

This is a very tasty hearty dish...real comfort food. For those who said the meat was tough, remember that this is a tougher cut of beef, which is why it is simmered for 30 minutes. Cook a little longer, if necessary. If you think the dish is too salty, there are lower sodium alternatives for the soup and broth plus you can omit salting the beef before cooking. Thanks, Paula for a yummy easy weeknight meal.

Here's the thing... the recipe is too vague in one of the KEY instructions. Seasoning the beef with the salt/pepper/garlic salt blend should be stated as something like, "lightly sprinkle a small amount of the seasoning blend on the beef cubes." I tossed them in the seasoning. Like some others here have found out the hard way, this results in a dish so OVERWHELMINGLY salty that you won't want to eat more than a couple bites. I'm betting this recipe would be wonderful if the instructions were a little clearer. The way I made it, it was one of the most awful things I've ever made. :(

I thought it was very good. I just seasoned the meat with my regular seasons - salt, people garlic and onion powder and a dab of worcestershire sauces.

My very picky kids love this!! I don't add the salt or butter it says and I use low sodium beef broth.

It was way to salty!!! The meat was a bit tough and there was way to mhuch salt suggested. Do not use the ammount of salt it tells you to use!

This recipe was a disappointment. The meat was tough and tastless and the sauce was salty and tasted like cream of mushroom soup. I would suggest substituting beef tenderloin for the cube steak, skipping the cream of mushroom soup altogether, and using low sodium beef stock or homemade stock. It would seem like changing the recipe completely, but this one really needs a facelift.
