I just tried this recipe last night and loved it. I have a gas grill so I preheated the grill, then turned both burners to low and set the chicken in the middle. I added some crushed garlic to the beer and turned the chicken 1/2way through cooking. It was *very* tender. I had a little trouble getting the bird off the can of beer so I let it set for about 15 minutes and then punctured the bottom of the can to let the beer run out (so I wouldn't spill it everywhere, then laid the bird sideways so I could grab the can out. I will definitely make this one again!

This recipe was awesome, as for Paula's house seasoning blend which is included in many of her recipes, You are not suppose to use all of it!

I am not a cook. I prefer to pay others to make it right for me like at a good restaurant, for example. But, I had friends over for the NFL Draft and wanted to have good food along with the good company. The only variation I did was I used my favorite chicken seasoning from the meat department at Albertson's. It was unanimous that this chicken (that I, the non-cook, prepared myself with no help was the best chicken ever. To quote one of my friends, "that chicken was the $***!" I HIGHLY recommend this recipe. If you don't like it, you did it wrong, somehow.

My guests were so interested in cooking a chicken over a beer can. Never had so many people checking out my grillin'. Recipe great for conversation, laughs and good eating.

My family LOVES this one...especially my ultra-picky 13 year old!! He asks for it on a regular basis!! It's so easy...we do it in the oven on nights that I need an easy meal. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 - 2 hours and it's excellent!!

I made this yesterday. My husband wasn't too thrilled w/ it. We ususally only eat white meat. I thought it was very moist and an easy way to cook. I have a gas grill so only turned on 2 of 3 burners and placed bird in the middle. At the end, I added some BBQ sauce. As for the house seasoning. You don't use all of it. Save the rest for a different day.

This recipe is so simple and very tasty, the chicken was very moist and tender. A great alternative to the typical roast chicken in the oven.
