What this dish really needs is a half a pound of crispy bacon chopped and folded into the mix. Trust me...

I really thought I would not like this with the fruit cocktail, but it was excellent. I would make this many more times, it... is not difficult and impossible to screw up. EXCELLENT!Read more

I was so excited to make this dessert, but was worried it wouldn't turn out well. It turned out beautifully and was a sure... fire hit. I didn't use 2 dozen doughnuts, instead used 21. Then instead of fruit cocktail, I added 2 cans of peaches (I cut them up into little chunks) - drained one can and used the juice of the other - then added golden raisins. In fact, I only had 1 egg, so I had to use Ener-G egg replacer for the other egg. I had a lot of sauce leftover, so I recommend either halfing the recipe. Everyone will love this dessert. And yes, a little goes a long way.Read more
