This recipe is simple to make and very delicious! I made it for Christmas and everyone loved it! I plan to make double for New Year's Eve!

It is not Christmas until I make this! I follow the recipe, but use 2 15 oz cans of fruit cocktail to make it more moist - it works great! Everyone loves it!

The sauce didn't turn out at all. It is a big gloppy mess; the sugar doesn't dissolve into the butter at all, and I wasn't able to get the whole POUND mixed in. Will not make again.

I made this today as one of the desserts for our Thanksgiving dinner and everybody loved it. I served it with Vanilla Ice cream. Of course, I told no one that it was made with donuts and kept everyone guessing. It was fun seeing the look on everyone's face when I told them that it was Krispy Kreme donuts. This is not something I would make too often, but for those times when you just don't care about the calories, this is awesome dessert. I left out the Rum and just added some Rum extract instead. I also intended to add some diced green apples, but forgot to add them. Yummy!

I've made this several times for brunches at home at breakfast meetings...Even the carb conscious dig in. My suggestion is to let the donuts go a bit stale...they pick up the liquid better. mmmmmmmm

OMG SO SO GOOD!!!!!Though, No More KK Around Here Anymore.....So just used store brand glazed doughnuts. Only used 1 dozen, two 15oz cans of fruit cocktail,(drained just a little of the juice 2 small boxes of raisins, 3/4 can condensed milk, 1 cup of milk, 2 eggs, pinch of salt, the cinnamon, and added nutmeg and only made 1/2 the topping. Fit perfectly in a 9x13 dish. (sprayed with cooking sprayIt came out great and everyone at worked loved it.....Thank you for sharing this recipe....

I'm not the biggest fan of Paula's, but when I saw this recipe I was very intrigued. It came out perfect! Not too eggy in the middle, which has always been my main reason for not being the biggest fan of most bread puddings. I halved the recipe, didn't add the fruit and added a bit extra condensed milk. The rum sauce was great...will def make it again.
