Pudding too dry even with the addition of a little extra milk & tasted like toasted doughnuts. Even the fruit cocktail couldn't save it. When I think of 'sauce' I think of something that can actually be poured from a pan. Added extra butter and more more rum to this disaster of a sauce'. Sickning sweet mess, I threw it away. Waste of time and a good box of doughnuts.

Oh, Jeez! I was left speechless! It was awesome.( I used regular milk --not sweetened condensed milk Next time I am going to add some baked apples in the recipe to replace the fruit cocktails. Then it will taste like apple pie and krispy kreme pudding!

I carried this to a recent potluck dinner at work and it was a hit. I did change a few thing's though. At the time I went shopping I couldnot find enough glazed donut's and used Honeybun's instead and added 1/2 cup of milk to the mixture just to thin it down to soak in better. I used a 6x10 oven safe bowl and it came out really moist with a slightly crunchy top. I had many people ask me for the recipe and was happy to share it.

This dessert was a crowed pleaser. It made enough for every one at our Memorial Day celebration. Surely will be something to have only on special occasions and holidays. I used 24 doughnuts from Gibson's a local hometown bakery here in Memphis. Turned out great. However, I did use 2 of the regular sized cans of fruit cocktail and 2 cans of the condensed milk. One extra special addition into the dessert was the B. Lloyds peanut and pecan toppings. Butter "Rum" sauce was perfect. Plus, this dessert paired well along side vanilla ice cream. Very easy and will make again! :
