I've made this recipe several time and yes I figured out it needed 2-14.5 oz. cans of fruit cocktail. I made a triple batch using regular and golden raisins and dried cranberries and I macerated them in dark rum before adding them to the mix. I also used varied combinations of fruit cocktail (very cherry, tropical, and regular. I strained all of the fruit and mixed all the wet stuff together then added all the fruit back in. I strained the macerated fruit and folded it into the mix and used the raisin flavored rum to make the butter-rum sauce.

So tasty! Not so good for you. But so so tasty! I make this every so often and it's always gone quick. You can cut down on the rum sauce and it won't be missed.

I make this every Christmas-the house smells so yummy while it's baking!I do omit the raisins(not a huge fan.For those who say it is too dry,the recipe has a misprint-it should be 2 14.5 oz. cans of fruit cocktail, not 4.5 oz cans.Mmmm, mmmm, mmm, mmm, mmmm!!!!!
