I made this recipe for my nephews Baptismal party, & it got me great reviews. Everyone really enjoyed it. They couldn't believe it was made with donuts! Even though the Rum Sauce was a litte strong (but not to me they still liked it.

My husband & I watched this together. He was getting chill bumps and the hair was standing up on his arms as he was dreaming of having this sinful dessert. He now wants it for his birthday.

I was very excited about trying this recipe and want to use it in my restaurant. Some parts of recipe are unclear. I can't find a 9 oz box of raisins, only 6 oz, 15 oz, & 1 1/2 oz. Also, is the rum sauce suppose to be an icing or a pourable sauce. There was no way I could dissolve a whole pound of confectioners sugar into 1 stick (1/4 lb of simmering butter! Even after adding 50% more butter and 3 oz of rum it didn't work. I had to melt the mixture in a microwave and mix with milk to make it "pourable". I love the idea of a Krispy Kreme bread pudding, so please get back to me.

    Thanks,

This is an excellent way to use your day old doughnuts. I don't care for fruit coctail so I used canned peaches. Bread pudding is my favorite dessert, and this recipe rates the best I have had. I serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
