I FIXED THIS AND TOOK IT TO WORK. EVERYONE LOVED THE FLAVORS GOING ON IN THIS DESSERT. THE SAUCE THAT GOES ON TOP IS VERY SWEET, BUT GEORGIA FOLKS LOVE SWEETS. IT IS EASY TO MAKE AND IT IS REALLY GOOD.

I really thought I would not like this with the fruit cocktail, but it was excellent. I would make this many more times, it is not difficult and impossible to screw up. EXCELLENT!

I was so excited to make this dessert, but was worried it wouldn't turn out well. It turned out beautifully and was a sure fire hit. I didn't use 2 dozen doughnuts, instead used 21. Then instead of fruit cocktail, I added 2 cans of peaches (I cut them up into little chunks - drained one can and used the juice of the other - then added golden raisins. In fact, I only had 1 egg, so I had to use Ener-G egg replacer for the other egg. I had a lot of sauce leftover, so I recommend either halfing the recipe. Everyone will love this dessert. And yes, a little goes a long way.

I was looking for more of a bread pudding, one that was light and not heavy or chunky. I followed the recipe, but did not add the butter rum topping glaze. I ended up with basically toasted chunks of doughnuts. I will never recommed this to anyone. It needed a lot more liquid than what the recipe called for, but I am not even going to bother to retry it with tweaking.

This might be he easiest recipe for bread pudding ever. And it's so good it'll bring tears to your eyes.
This has been my family's holiday favorite for about 2 years now. I can't wait for the holidays!

I made several variations to this that worked out well:
* ommitted the fruit cocktail & juice
* substituted extra golden raisins soaked in Disaronno & warm orange juice (used
the soaking liquid instead of rum to thin the glaze
* baked in a muffin tin (made about 20 individual bread puddings. after they baked
and cooled, i placed them in paper cups so the paper wouldn't glue to the treats.
these were great popped in the microwave for 20 seconds and dunked in coffee!

I love this pudding, I have gotten so many compliments on it at pot lucks and family gatherings its amazing. All of my older relatives always want to the recipe.
I always joke around that it is "no sugar added" before mentioning the fact that the base ingredient is Krispy Kremes. However, I do let people know that my nickname for this is Diabetic Kryptonite.
It is very rich, and very sweet, but honestly its made from krispy kremes. If you like those, you will like this. If you don't stay away.
