After reading all the reviews, I kinda had my doubts that this would turn out fit to eat...but was I ever wrong! I admit I tweaked it a bit because of my own personal preferences. I omitted the raisins and nuts. I added a cup of evaporated milk and one more egg to the liquid mixture. I used only 1 and 1/2 dozen of regular glazed donuts. I baked it for 40 minutes and it turned out just right. I made a glaze of the butter and powdered sugar; omitted the rum and used a teaspoon of vanilla extract instead and thinned it with some milk. It was soooo good. One word of warning though, just a dab will due you because of its richness.

This recipe was easy and the best part is, the bread pudding was very moist and delicious. It has Krispy Kreme doughnuts in it, what could be better?

I loved this recipe. I am a sweet junkie and I saw this on TV one Saturday afternoon. So I baked it that night for me and my boyfriend. It was very filling. I took two bites and I was through. I added some vanilla, Soy Silk Nog, and coconut. For the butter rum frosting I used the connamon vegetable oil spread instead of the butter. Wow was this great. When I do make it again I will chop the fruit a little bit smaller becasue the cunks of fruit did not mesh in well with the texture.

Went to my husbands family for Thanksgiving and someone had made this bread pudding. I had no doubt that it would be good, but it was so good that I am planning to bring this Christmas with my family! One comment I read was telling Paula she should be more aware about baking something with so much sugar (donuts & condensed milk. My reply to them, were you planning to eat the whole container of it?? If not, then get over it!

There are only 2 of us in this house and I made this recipe using 6 glazed donuts (Krispy Kreme and used about 2/3 of the condensed milk, 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup milk, and added a pinch of nutmeg with the cinnamon. I also added dried cherries and walnuts, put it in a greased 8x8 pan and it was superb. Thanks Paula.

I am not sure what happened with this recipe! I have made several Paula Deen recipes before that all turned wonderful and I was sure this would be just as good. I followed the directions exactly except for omitting the raisins. The donuts were just too dry, so I added another can of condensed milk and they were STILL too dry to I added another cup of plain milk. It finally looked wet enough, like other bread puddings I'd made, and I baked for 1 hour as directed @ 350. The bottom was not burnt, but rock hard and stuck to the baking dish. I didn't spray/grease the dish b/c the recipe didn't say to but I really should have. Did anyone else have a problem with adding extra liquid?

I saw this recipe featured on Ellen, and when she was making it, Paula said that even though the recipe calls for 2 dozen donuts, she only uses 14, as she likes her bread pudding more wet than dry. For those of you having problems with it being dry, try using less donuts. I'm going to make this for a mom's club night out, and I think I'm going to use 16-18 donuts. I'll re-review once I've made it.. Sounds divine though!

I'm dying of sugar shock but i'm going with a smile on my face and butter rum sauce on my lips. Not really, but it was a one-helping sort of dessert. Definately have to have some do-overs with this one!!
