@renate007_12834588 I made this EXACTLY as the recipe dictated and not only did the blackening seasoning stick but this is one of the best blackened tilapia recipes out there. I question your bad rating as there was none of the problems you mentioned. I would also suggest you season your cast iron as I can cook an egg in my 70 year old pan and it won't stick.

Very good & easy. Didn't have the mango salsa but didn't miss it. Perfect for a busy weekday meal.

Very tasty, I didn't use all the rub, but I did save it and use it on other stuff-roasted red potatoes was really good with it!

I'm not usually a fan of blackened fish but I absolutely love this sandwich, the mayonnaise is really good. Even my children love this fish dish. My only variation is that I do not dip the fish in butter.

So delicious! The only thing I did differently was to dip the fish in egg instead of butter to make it a little lighter. Will definitely make again and again!

I would rate it minus 5 stars if I could. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!
Most of the rub did not stick to the fish and burnt on the bottoms of the pan. The little bit of seasoning that stuck to the fish burnt onto the fish. I had to scrape most of the seasonings off the fish in order for us to eat it. I watched her make it and did it the same way the did it, cast iron pan and all. This was Paula's first receipe I have ever tried and it will be the last!

I tried the blackening seasoning and the cilantro-lime mayo on ling cod. The seasoning was over powered by the thyme and we didn't care for it. The mayo was a big hit.
