A delicious and easy dessert! I've used peaches a number of times too and it always comes out beautifully. I do add a little corn starch mixed with water to the fruit to make it nice and thick. And if the dumplings are too large, they will be a bit undercooked in the time prescribed. I also love that I can put this on the stove before sitting down to dinner and it's hot and ready by the dessert course. Vanilla ice cream is a must! Enjoy.

This dish was delicious and this will be a regular dessert in my house. I substituted the dry ingredients with Bisquick and added the sugar. I used fresh blueberries which I always have on-hand, but they were not sweet and this dish was the perfect use for them. Yummy!!!

I am surprised by the five star rating on this. It is ok and I enjoyed it but will not make again. The general agreement in the family is that there are a lot of other recipes that would have been a better use of our blueberries. Like others, I but the sugar to less than one cup which is plenty.
This essentially is a hot blueberry sauce with doughy dumplings. I that is what you want go for it.
If you try this you need to have good blueberries. trying this with frozen poor quality blueberries is likely to be a real problem.

This wa the first recipe I had made by Paula Deen and my parents were telling me I should make some for the rest of my family. MY family loved them and ever since blueberries are almost constantly in our house.

Everyone loved these. I myself could go less sugar, but those buttery dumplings were amazing. Everyone thinks I'm a fantastic cook, but it's really Miss Paula.

I cannot understand how anyone could not give these a 5 star rating. The directions are easy to follow; the outcome is scrumptious. These are extremely easy to make, and sinfully delicious. If you are having to spit them out, you did something wrong. We make these frequently, and they are heavenly ... even though they are so sinful!

These were really very good. The ice cream is a must have, the sugar is probably a bit excessive, and I'd really like to have more dumplings, but this was really good. I will definitely make this again.
