I was leery after reading reviews but needed to use up some blueberries. Thought they were actually very good. However, I didn't like the brown sugar sprinkled on top and scraped it off. The batter is thick, but they baked up nice and moist.

I made this recipe, but substituted whole milk with half and half.
I loved them, they did taste a little like a scone, and I love scones. I will make them again. Paula Deen recipes are the best!

I think there is an error in the recipe.. 2 tablespoons of baking powder is insane and makes the muffins taste terrible.. it should read 2 TEASPOONS I think.. made that correction and they were fine.

Yum, yummy....this is a delicious recipe - somewhere halfway between an English scone and a muffin. Buttery, tender crumbed goodness, with moist pockets of blueberry. I had a quick look at some of the most recent reviews and was really scared of this turning into a big fail, but I decided to take the plunge and follow the recipe. The only thing I embellished was the amount of sugar added to the mixture, instead of 3/4 cup I put in a whole cup - I don't even think this is necessary, but it's such a small extra it really did not present an over sweet concoction, I think for me personally it just took the edge of blueberries that may be a bit more tart. Please follow, this recipe as is specified - where is says "fold", don't beat the batter to within an inch of it's life, and lightly beat eggs as suggested, there must be a reason why they made these details explicit. Give it a go, I say!

Terrible! I keep searching for the perfect blueberry muffin recipe and figured I couldn't go wrong with Paula but I did! The mixture was wayyyy too dry and was more sconelike. Needless to say, I'm still on the lookout for a great blueberry muffin recipe!

Not very tasty. They sank in the middle. Also, I think that the recipe may be wrong cause it calls for 2 tablespoons of baking powder when most recipes I see on here call for 2 teaspoons. :/

This is a wonderful and very easy recipe. Going to make them for coffee time at church next.
