    made this and was disappointed. did not melt the butter, but they came out like biscuits. the blueberries were large so they sunk where ever the blueberries were. it was a waste of time and good berries and butter. im not a baker but i too thought two tablespoons of baking powder was a bit much. plan to compare this recipe with others. usually use betty crockers mix may stick to that. i had bought some fresh blueberries. should have just eaten them out of the carton. i would recommend trying this at least once to see if you come out with the same results. cause i see a few good reviews as well as bad. they taste ok but i dont care for biscuit texture on my muffins. i expect cakelike muffins. and no dont like em real sweet but these werent really sweet enough. sometimes ill take a recipe and try to tweak it but wont bother on this one. i like a recipe to be right for me the first time. hope others have good luck with these.

    I am not really a baker but wanted to make something hopefully my picky daughter would like. After reading the reviews I went with using only 2 teaspoons of baking powder. I added an 1/8 th of a cup of extra brown sugar. I should add more but they were good. I also added 2 cups of fresh blueberries. My daughter who is Autistic and is really picky is on her 3rd one!!! I like them a lot too!!!! I made these muffins with all organic ingredients. They came out kinda flat but I am putting this in our family rec. box to make again for every Saturday breakfast :0....THANK YOU PAULA!!!!

    Tasty, yes. . until you got the very bitter aftertaste. Sure it could be ameliorated by putting a lot of jam on top but I made the muffins with Splenda so I wasn't about to add a lot of sugar in any form
    I didn't take the time to read the comments about this recipe,the bitterness, as it stands,
    undoubtedly from the absurd, "2 tablespoons of baking powder". I made 8 mini muffins and just threw the rest of the batter down the drain.

    Everyone that wrote a bad review on here obviously didn't read the correct directions to baking the muffins. There was no typo? And the muffins I made came out wonderful, rustic natural yummy fresh blueberry muffins. It sort of has a biscuit texture. Very good. You cant blame a typo for bad baking.

    Gross!!!! Paula Please!!!! I questioned the amount of baking soda BUT followed the recipe anyway. Very,very bitter.

    I usually read reviews before trying a recipe... but of course, I didn't this time. There is definitely not enough sugar in the recipe and too much baking powder. If this is a typo (it should be 2 teaspoons instead of tablespoons then why hasn't Food Network fixed it yet? I had made these for my toddler on a Sunday morning--she waited and waited and then wouldn't even eat them. I teach high school, so I'll probably bring them to school as my teenagers will eat anything. Very disappointed with this entire experience.

    The 2 Tablespoons of Baking powder is a typo. I went to her website and found the same recipe with 2 teaspoons of baking powder.

    Ok I don't know why anyone was disapointed, if you follow the directions they turn our really good, the sugar on top balances out the bitternes of the blueberries, my mother told me I need to make these again.
