I made this in a 9x13 inch pan. Yum Yum!
I've made it with cherry pie filling on top and also with fresh strawberries that I glazed. Everyone who tasted it has been smittenfrom the first bite.

This is a real 'keeper'. I've made it twice and both times it was a hit with kids and adults. It was easy to make and it's all ready one of my favorite recipes.

This was so easy and fun to make and received rave reviews from Family and Friends. To brighten up the flavors I did add fresh lemon rind ( 1/2 lemon and 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract to the filling. Because my Husband loves fresh blueberries and they are also in season rather than using canned I made the blueberry topping from scratch by mashing fresh blueberries, cooking them for 2 minutes, passing them through a sieve to extract the juices and then added sugar and corn starch and cooked for another 2 minutes until thicken. After cooling I added more whole fresh blueberries. It was a hit! Definately a "do over" (and over and over and over....

The only thing I did different was to not put the nuts into the crust but laid them on top in large pieces only because a few people in my family have an allergy so this way they could pick them out. It was a big hit & so easy to make.

I made this twice, the first time using the pie filling, the second using fresh berries. It is a good recipe, but using fresh berries made it great. What a difference!

Zelma ~ you CAN find cream cheese in 3-oz packages. Should be close to the 8-oz ones.
