Loved this recipe...cut down on instead of adding ground turkey subbed with italian sausage. Makes way more than 6 servings......which is a bonus......leftovers.....YEAH

Just made this for 2 very picky 5 yr olds. My daughter loved it! But the real test was my niece (who always has a comment about my cooking, she LOVED IT! I used 1lb ground beef & 1lb ground turkey, reduced the water (2 cups, seasoning and bay leaves (2 leaves to match the amount of meat and added shredded sharp cheese when I added the noodles (I'm cooking for 5 yr olds, so I had to add cheese. I layered the pot with more shredded cheddar during the 30 min wait stage. Everything else I followed to the T. The MY GIRLS LOVED IT, AND I HAVE PLENTY OF LEFT OVERS! For those who didn't like the bay leaves, I liked them in this dish, but that may be my southern upbringing talking. While writing this my daughter just asked for "MORE" gotta go fix another plate! Thanks Paula!

Just so everyone is aware: I have the Deen Bros. cookbook "Y'all Come Eat" and it contains Bobby's Goulash recipe. The recipe in the book uses some teaspoon measurements where this posted recipe uses Tbs...when all else fails, trust your judgement. The recipe from the book turns out quite nicely. (I created an account just to give the heads-up.

This was just OK for me. I used just ground turkey, all low sodium products and used very little seasoning salt to cut down on the massive sodium count. I will make this again but I will omit the bay leaf next time, for me it just didn't taste right in this dish.

Good but way too much salt. We omitted the soy sauce and halved the salt and it was still too much. Next time think we we will stick to either just the soy sauce or just the house season.

This recipe although extremely familiar to the recipe my mom use to make still lacks something. and a good pinch of brown sugar rounds out the flavor. I don't know how anyone could eat this as the recipe calls for. Once something is over salted, there is no going back. Glad I omitted season salt and reduce Paula's seasoning mix.
I love the food network but some of the recipes I have encountered, the information given to us in the recipe is not as shown on TV and I have had toss out several costly meals. I

I have made this recipe many times, I have adjusted it to fit our taste, and use 1 lb of italian sausage with 1 lb of ground beef instead of the 2 lbs beef and 1 lb turkey. We call it Beefaroni, which is more fitting.

I love this dish. I have made it often, and will continue to do so. I follow the recipe exactly. I have brought this to covered dish gatherings, and am always asked for the recipe. Oh, and it freezes great. Thank you Paula and Bobby. This is a keeper.

Pretty good. Added two chicken bullion cubes, added maybe a cup more water.
