Delicious every time I make it and it's great if you want food for several days. It's a little time consuming but most of the time is just letting the food cook and simmer. I almost completely followed the recipe but never used soy sauce. Also instead of adding Italian seasoning, house seasoning AND seasoned salt I was just generous with Lawry's seasoning. Yum!!

Very tasty using the Italian seasoning, but the serving size is off. Following this recipe I ended up with about 12 servings. It appears to freeze well and stay just as tasty. I, too, modified the salt and in fact did not add any except to season the meat early on.

This is so loaded with sodium-salt that after having some I decided better safe then sorry and put down the garbage disposal. However I will make it again ,but with far less salt,Also I'll use Low Sodium Soy Sauce.
1 Star because of the sodium content.f

I've been eating Goulash all my life, but this recipe is excellent. Full of flavor, a real comfort food! Thanks Bobby!

I tried this recipe with some big modifications. As printed I could only give it 3 stars because of the WHOPPING amount of sodium per serving- it was far too salty for my family. I left out the season salt, table salt, & soy sauce and replaced them with salt free herbs. I also used no-salt-added tomato products along with extra garlic powder and pepper in place of some of the salt in Paula's house seasoning. It still tasted great! I had table & fine sea salt available for anyone who liked saltier foods & hot sauce for some kick. Everyone loved it. Will be making it again this way since it won't send my husband's BP into the atmosphere. FYI- if you prefer a more al-dente pasta skip the 30 min rst time as the pasta gets pretty gummy.

4 stars as it is. 5 stars if you cut the seasoned salt & italian seasoning down to about a 1/3 of what it calls for, otherwise it's way too salty & herby. Also use a little more pasta than it calls for.

My husband and I love this recipe. I didn't follow the house seasoning recipe, (I just added the same ingredients as I saw fit so I can't say if there was too much salt or not. I found the Italian seasoning wasn't overpowering but I might tone it down a pinch. I don't add as much meat and put about 2.5 cups of macaroni. I also put the diced tomato's through the blender for a few pulses because we don't like the chunks. One of these days I'm going to spice it up with some ideas posted by others here. Overall, a great meal that is easy and fairly quick! Happy Eating.

My family doesn't like goulash so when I saw this kind of italian version I decided to give it a try. They love it..the only thing i changed was instead of putting in italian seasoning. I used Del Monte Basil, garlic and oregano tomatoes..Just the right amount of seasoning.. Served with garlic butter texas toast, it is wonderful

My Hubby loves this recipe. Instead of using macaroni noodles, I use Wacky Mac Veggie Spirals. My Hubby doesn't even notice that it's actually vegetable pasta. If you find the recipe to be salty, place a small whole raw peeled white potato in it during the 30 minute setting stage. Stir periodically during the 30 minutes. The white potato should draw out some of the salt. Throw out the potato prior to serving. I also noticed that this recipe says "seasoned salt." The recipe on Paula Deen's web site says "Paula Deen Season Salt;" thus, this may make a difference in the salt level. I actually make sure every ingredient in the Paula Deen Season Salt and the Paula Deen House Seasoning is in my dish (i.e., I make my own of both of these, and I season to taste. Instead of using "diced tomatoes," I use Hunts Rosemary & Oregano Diced Tomatoes.
