I just made this and devoured a cup. It is DELISH and I like the cherries-nice sweet change. Thanks to Bobby.

Just made this recipe for after dinner dessert, AWESOME!!!! So flavorful and it was very easy to make. Thanks a million Bobby Deen!!!!! Oh but I did use raisins instead of cherries, not a big cherry fan, but it was still good:

My husband loves rice pudding and he said that this one was the best he has ever eaten!! I did have to cook it for a long time, though, to get the texture right. I also put in a little less than one can of condensed milk.

Oh dear....I hate to give any "Deen" recipe a bad review, but I have to do it on this one. I cooked it for close to an hour and the rice would not get tender!! So frustrating. The taste was so-so, the texture was horrible. Too much orange zest. I'm going back to my French rice pudding recipe! I still love all the Deens though!!

Creamy, quick & easy. I doubled this recipe for our large family, except only used one 14oz. can of sweetened condensed milk. It was plenty sweet for our family.

HOLY WOW!!!! I don't like rice pudding and this is just absolutly amazing. I didn't have a double boiler set so I had to make do with what I had, but all I can say is WOW!!!

This was terrible! Way to sweet and the sc milk made it a darker color.
Orange zest was good but thank goodness I made it before I had it for company.

To Lee Vitello--in case you are not very familiar with cooking---if you look at this recipe you'll notice that it does not call for any sugar. Why might this be?? It is a dessert after all!! Perhaps because it DOES call for sweetened condensed milk which has sugar in it. Without the sweet condensed milk it's nothing more than a dish of savory rice. I've actually TRIED this recipe, unlike yourself, and it is absolutely perfect.
