lee, the hell do you mean, "every cook know that condensed milk is too sweet to use"? my mother makes her rice pudding, as well as bread pudding & flan w/ sweetened condensed milk from an authentic cuban cookbook's recipes, & they come out delicious.

don't over generalize on something you have no idea about.

Very good! I did add pecans and think any nut would be good. Used only 2 tea of vanilla and next time will try half vanilla and half almond to complement the cherries.

This is very very tasty, however....I did cook this rice for a long tieme and still some of the rice was not cooked all the way through, that's alright, next time I guess I'll cook it a little longer...the taste is there.....very comforting.

Just made this recipe and it is delicious. I followed the recipe and made no changes. The orange zest balances the other heavier flavors; the combination of ingedients are devine together. It's quick, easy and I added adollop of whipped crean. Yum!

I thought this was good. However I thought the sc milk made it a bit too sweet. I also went with what others said and added only 1T of van. and no orange zest, also added raisins. I added cin and nutmeg which really made the dessert. I know I know, you shouldn't leave a review when you change so much but with all the changes you are still left with that yummy custard taste most are looking for. I did think this was super easy and I liked that you didn't have stir forever. I have never had a better rice pudding than emrils rustic rice pudding!!! It was fun to try something new! Thanks! I made this recipe today and thought 2 TBSP of vanilla was way too much. I'd be careful with the amount of orange zest as well. Otherwise, it was yummy.

This rice pudding was absolutely fantastic. My husband is not a big fan of rice pudding, but we all loved it, even him. It was very simple to make, and I used dried cranberries instead of the cherries. I love to watch Paula and Bobby cook together!

This rice pudding has the BEST flavor! I have about 5 recipes for rice pudding but this will be the one I use from now on. It isn't the quickest but it is so easy and tastey. It wasn't too sweet for us as some other reviews said. I used raisins because that is what we like and i always have them on hand.

I happened to have instant rice on hand I had bought for my dog who was very sick and the vet said to feed her cooked hamburger and cooked rice together. We ended up putting my best friend to sleep on Nov. 24th anyway. So I had this big box of rice on hand. I made this rice pudding, and made a few adjustments since all I had was instant rice. I started out with just 1 cup of rice, after I had finished up with the recipe, it was too soupy, so I brought it back to a boil, and added another half cup of rice and let it sit with the lid on. I also used sweetened dried cherry berry blend from Sam's Club since that's all I had. I thought it turned out good!
