By reading the other reviews, I was expecting a strong bourbon and brown sugar taste, but the flavors were not overpowering at all. The beef was tasty and I will make this again.

This is the most incredible tenderloin we have ever had. Cook it on the grill and use a meat thermometer so that it will cook to the doneness you prefer. Don't change anything on the recipe. It is perfect!!!!

I thought that you should cut the bourbon down, it was to strong of a taste, I also think it would have been better cooked in a crockpot and of course less bourbon. THIS was the first paula deen recipe that I wasn't pleased with, and I cook with her recipes all the time!!! I LOVE YOU PAULA!!

Have tried this a couple of times now and it was a tremendous success both times. So easy to prepare and simple to cook - and the taste!! :- Not a bourbon fan but in this recipe it works.

Easy marinade to make and the flavor does not overpower the meat at all.
