After making the glaze and tasting it, I thought it was a little strong with the mustard and bourbon. I only lightly spread it on the pork chops but I wished I had put it all on after cooking it. I added more after cooking and it had a great flavor with the pork. My husband also liked it and agreed that I use it all next time.

Now you are talking. This is some real pork chops. I did not like the chocolate ones at all. Food network has a problem with me expressing myself, but at the same time, those judges on chopped don't spare anyone. These pork chops are a home run. I will fix them again and again and again and again and again!

I thought these were pretty good, but I'd cut down on the amount of mustard next time. I thought it was a little strong.

My teenage son had a second helping. I marinated the boneless chops most of the day. Served with rice, sliced mangoes, and tomato/mozarella salad. I will use any leftover meat in a quesadilla tomorrow for the hungry teen!

I found this recipe in The Deen Bros.' Taking it Easy cookbook. It is titled Bobby's Special Thick-Cut Garlic Pork Chops with Bourbon Glaze. My husband and I grilled the chops last night and they were divine. We used Makers' Mark for the bourbon, and that is the secret ingredient! The chops were juicy and tender. Ours were about 1/2" thick center cut since they were on sale. We grilled them on a gas grill with lid open so there would be a little flame to sear the chops. We also made the Good-for-you Grilled Vegetable Basket in the Deen Bros.'s cookbook. Used zucchini, red bell peppers, Cremini mushrooms, and sliced Vidalia onions combined with some balsamic vinaigrette and grilled in a grill basket. Colorful presentation. Excellent dinner. I highly recommend the recipes. I am going to use the glaze for baked or grilled salmon and chicken. Best chops ever!

Really good recipe... here's how it could've gotten a 5 from me: Double the recipe, reserve 1/2. marinade the pork in 1/2 of the liquid for 2+ hours... continue with the Paula Deen recipe. I served it with corn on the cob and candied carrots. Delicious!
