I made this pie for the first time for Christmas. I was so dissapointed. The pie looked beautiful but when I cut into it a few hours later it was very runny. I spoke to a collegue who recommended this recipe and she said she realized the cook time was wrong and left it in the over for about 60 minutes. I am really anxious to try it again because it will be perfect if it is not runny. At the cost of pecans thoough it was a costly mistake. Please correct this on the website.

My husband baked this pie for a New Year's Eve dinner party after failing to find his favorite pecan pie recipe in my recipe collection. Instead of bourbon, he used Makers Mark Whiskey that he had on hand, and oh my (!, was it delicious! It now has replaced his former favorite pecan pie recipe. A definite winner for those who love pecan pie. He also used ready made frozen pie crust, to save time.

This pie was alright. I did reduce the amount of bourbon to 1/2 and it gave the pie a maple taste without being over powering. But this just wasn't the pie I thought it was going to be I guess. I have had better but it is definetly not a bad recipe.

I never knew pecan pie was so easy to make at home! I made this for Thanksgiving and it turned out great. I followed the recipe exactly except for the bourbon....added just a dash of Southern Comfort as that's what I had on hand. Cut down on the amount too as we had kids and non-drinkers at the party. But the flavor still came through perfectly without too much of an alcoholic taste. I have always loved pecan pie and I am so happy to know that you can do it so quickly and easily at home! My guests thought it was store bought. Thank you Paula Deen!

This is the best god dang pecan pie that's ever crossed my virgin lips. Okay, only part of that sentence is true. I baked it today (two days before Thanksgiving and couldn't stand not knowing what it tasted like so I had a slice. It was like going to church ya'll. Not sure how I'm going to make it all day tomorrow without sneaking another piece.
