I used Wild Turkey bourbon for this pie, and it is sooo delicious. The bourbon was subtle but you could definitely tell it was there! I made my own crust and baked it in the oven without a problem for about 30 minutes. This dessert for Thanksgiving was a hit!

I made two pies, but I burnt the first by taking advice of some of the reviews and cooking it longer. The second was close to perfect, by cooking it for the alotted cooking time!

Thanks to several pecan trees in our yard, I'm constantly trying new pecan pie recipes and this one is absolutely the best so far! Thanks, Paula.

This is the easiest pecan pie recipe I have ever tried in more than 50 years of baking. I have baked it three times in a week and it is very consistant in quality. That is also a first for pedcan pie recipes I have tried. The bourbon flavor is quite subtle which is also a plus.

I would love to try this recipe out but I don't keep alcohol (Bourbon in the house. Any suggestions what could be used as a substitute for the bourbon?

Sorry, but this was not too good. The bourbon gave it a strong taste.

Paula, this recipe is the best all around. I'm from Eritrea, and my husband from Texas. I baked this for my in-laws and I totaly impressed them. Everyone was asking me if I learned this in Africa. (We never heard of pecan pie in my country. Anyways, thank you soooo much for this most delicious and easiest recipe EVER! I'll be making this very often.
