Doubled the bourbon and baked it 45 minutes instead of 25. It was delicious! Everyone loved it and it was gone quickly. Will definitely make it again!

I made this for my partner and he said it was the best he has ever had. Pecan Pie is his favorite desert, so I can't thank you enough. I have been solicited to make this for Thnkagiving now!

Awesome recipe...had no less than 5 people asking me for the recipe after I brought to a Holiday gathering...I added more bourbon to the pie...It was very simple to make...Made fresh whipping cream with more bourbon to taste...You MUST make this. My husband said " you can't drive after eating this..for at least 2 hours"...just joking of course.

I made this pie for my fiance's birthday and he absolutley loved it! I followed the recipe; however, I added a tsp of vanilla and baked the pie an extra 10-15 min....Delicous! Thanks Paula!

I've never had nor made a pecan pie before. It's my mom's favorite so I decided to make it for our family reunion. It turned out amazing and was a hit. I ended up having to cook them for 25 minutes longer than the recipe calls for, but they turned out AMAZING!!! Thank you Paula!!!!

I just made this pie and it was great! I did add a tsp of vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon. I also took other reviewers' advise and added 10 to 15 mins more baking time and refridgerated it before serving. Awesome!!!

This is so delicious! I make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year! The bourbon really makes the dish, and gives the pie a wonderful flavor. The insides are a little runny straight out the oven, so if you prefer a firm pie, I suggest making it a day before and refrigerating it.

Made two pies, one to test and one to make for my mother for her birthday. Tried it and loved it! Just keep it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes longer, also the bourbon is not over powering and my sister didn't even notice. If anything I add just a little bit more.

Lawrence, KS is in Douglas County and there used to be a restaurant, Paradise Cafe, that made a most wonderful Douglas County pie. When I saw this recipe, I couldn't wait to make it to surprise my daughter and son in law who really miss the restaurant and the pie. Their pie contained chocolate so I added 1 cup of mini bittersweet chocolate chips to your recipe. Also, I used Jack Daniels (Tennessee Sippin' Whiskey instead of bourbon. It tasted exactly like the Douglas County pie. They were so thrilled they ate it all in two days!! Certainly a winner I will share with others who miss Paradise!!

Delicious! I cut the Bourbon in half so not to overpower that rest of the flavors and it was to die for!
