This recipe gave me a chance to redeem myself with my family after a horrible outcome with Emeril's off-tasting pecan pie recipe with molasses in it. This recipe is a winner! My family loved it, and my status as a pie baker has been restored.

Yummy! U also had to cook for 7 to 10 minutes longervthan directed. Also' to keep crust and pecans from over browning, I covered likely with tin foil after the first 10 minutes and then took it off again for the last 5.

I followed the directions exactly, but it never set up. I read some other reviews and saw that it needed more cooking time. I baked it another 30 minutes, just before the pecans started to burn, but it is still runny..... :( The pecans tasted great, I would have liked a little more bourbon in it, and the sugar still tasted a little granular in the soup.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this pie perfect?
I am very disappointed with this recipe.

Like many of the other reviews have pointed out, it was necessary to bake this for longer than the recipe stated. My family liked this recipe, but I'm going to keep looking for 'the one.'

I stepped it up a notch and used Booker's Bourbon. I also added a little more to the recipe and it was to die for.

I was asked to bring a Pecan Pie to Thanksgiving dinner and I decided on this one and I'm glad I did!! This was the first pie that I have ever made and it came out perfect! Not too sweet which was good because Pecan Pie is usually rot your teeth out sweet. I made this pie using Paula's Perfect Pie Crust and that was so melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Love you Paula!!

Just a couple of tablespoons of Jack Daniels to turn a Thanksgiving pecan pie into a fabulous pecan pie. Loved it!

The only complaint I received was that it was too sweet towards the last few bites. Like most of the reviewers, I baked this longer than the recipe stated.

My first attempt at making a pecan pie and OH-MY-GOD! It came out amazing! I even baked it at a different time and temp so I could bake a pumpkin pie at the same time. Plus I put a layer of a little somthin' extra before pouring the pie filling, had no bourbon so I used some of the 93 proof JD. Just seems like a you-can't-mess-up-if-you-tried recipe.
