Eh, this was okay. I used fresh broccoli because it's what I had on hand. But I wanted to point out something else. If you watch Paula's video on this recipe, notice how she doesn't say "y'all" once during the entire segment. Now watch current videos of Paula and notice that every sentence has "y'all" in it. Same with the Neely's. I'm from the south and say "y'all" on occasion and watching newer shows with Paula and the Neely's just bugs me. Lay off all the "y'alls" and I'd watch more episodes. Just annoying.

Easy and delicious. Both times I've made it so far, I have added some diced onions; adds a nice flavor. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly and it was great. Everyone loved it.

I made this for my brother who never eats anything but delivery pizza. He cleaned the entire casserole dish full in 2 meals. I didn't have crackers but I did have french fried onion and it worked fine.

I came across this dish when looking for another recipe and decided to make it for dinner. I used Ritz crackers and Hellmans Canola Mayo. We didn't get an over powering taste of mayo like others. It was perfect! Wonderful, husband and kids loved this as well. I will definitely be making this for our next family function!

My family has been making this southern dish for as long as I can remember and it's been a hit at every family holiday gathering! I love to pair this side dish with chicken fried steak, homemade mashed potatoes and pink salad (cottage cheese, crushed pineapple, strawberry jello mix, and whipped cream. A great take on this dish is instead of crackers, try pepperidge farm herb stuffing mix as the topper. It adds a warmth to the meal and makes it a holiday classic!

OK, I am not a big Paula Deen fan, but this recipe is the bomb. It is vague about the crushed cracker topping. Maybe Paula assumes everyone has some crackers in the cupboard and so you can use whatever you have on hand. I did not have any crackers and so bought Club crackers. These were very good. This recipe is easy, inexpensive and the result is excellent.
