This has been a family favorite for at least 30 years and it didn't fail for Easter dinner! I couldn't believe Paula makes it the same exact way, except we add minced onions. I'm not a measurer, while cooking, so just throw some in and stop when you think you've added enough! I've also made it with herb flavored croutons that I've crushed and spread over the top instead of ritz crackers. My husband has dubbed this the "gourmet" version in our household!!!

Very good, I also make mine pretty much the same way except I add chopped onion, 1/4 cup and cover the top of casserole with more cheddar cheese and Pepperidge Farm Herb Stuffing Mix and pour melted butter on top and bake as recipe calls for.

Whenever I make this, I'm asked for the recipe. I always use the french onions on top instead of crackers and I reduce the mayo or change for plain yogurt and it always comes out great - I even notice the picky kids taking 2nds....

Before making this recipe, I made sure I had read all the reviews first. The people that did not rate this recipe good must have not followed it correctly. This casserole dish was delicious! It was creamy tasting and was not over powered by mayo like the very few said it was. I will be making this dish more then once. Everyone loved it and wanted more when we got home but of course there were no leftovers. The only thing, when Paula said that the eggs cause it to "puff" a little, the dish never really puffed at all. So, you may not even need to put eggs in there. Other then that, this recipe still deserves 5 stars. Good job Paula!

Loved this recipe. I changed it up by adding French Onions instead of crackers and butter.
