I think this casserole is great. I used about 2 cups of cheese and used crushed cheese crackers ffor the topping. No problem with the eggs or mayo. Turned out perfect.

Tastes great, but I'm an old school redneck hillbilly. I had to use some Velveeta cheese and just a little bit of sharp cheddar. For the topping I like to use Ritz type crackers and also add some crushed french fried onion rings. I also agree with 1/2 and 1/2 on the mayo and sour cream, not so much mayo.

Everyone loved this recipe, best brocolli casserole ever and so easy. I did not use any eggs and listened to other reviews adding 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup of mayo. I also doubled the cheese and used a little more butter, making sure the cracker crumbs were not dry for the topping. Made ahead and Will make again and again.

This recipe is very tasty! After reading a few reviews, I decided to cut back on the mayo to 2/3 cup, and added an extra 1/2 cup of cheese. I only had Saltines available, but will try something different as a topping next time. I think this is a great "jump off" recipe and can be altered to many different tastes. After the changes I made, I still think this recipe could use a little more seasoning or flavor...maybe I'll try 1/2 cup diced onions next time.

I did not care for the egg in the recipe, too much of a mayo taste, and a bit bland. Not worth the calories.
