I did not care for the egg in the recipe, too much of a mayo taste, and a bit bland. Not worth the calories.

The best part of this recipe is that is it so easy and basic you can make it as prepared or give it your own twist. The first time I made it as called for and my husband loved it, stating it was almost exactly like his mother used to make. Tonight I decided to give it a twist by adding cooked chicken, lightly sauteed onions, mushroom and garlic. After mixing it all together I added a little crushed red pepper, dash of cayenne and garlic salt. I substituted half of the mayo for sour cream and mixed my ritz crackers with some italian breadcrumbs. For people having trouble with this recipe, just know that you can do it any which way you want. If you do not like the airy texture, then do not add egg (add another can of soup or reduce it to one. The possibilities with this are endless and it is sure to be a fantastic meal or side dish.

Fantastic dish! The egg makes it so light and fluffy its like eating a cloud of cheesy broccoli! I used fresh steamed broccoli instead of the frozen broccoli. I also used cambles cheddar cheese soup b/c I didn't have any cream of mushroom at hand. I also used a mixture of panko and ritz crackers. This could be a great vegetarian meal, or a fabulous side dish.

My daughter went camping for a few days & when I spoke to her before she came home I asked her what she felt like eating when she got home. She said she wanted my macaroni and cheese & maybe some meatballs. She also told me she had a great broccoli caserole while camping. So I quick looked it up on the Foodnetwork & saw Paula' recipe. It was delicious. My daughter loved it, which is what I was aiming for. I added a bit more cheese because I read some other reviews that suggested it and I was grating it for my mac & cheese anyway. I will make this again (I'm thinking Thanksgiving.

I am a broccoli lover. But this recipe was tasteless with the consistency of glop. I wasted fresh broccoli which would have been better served either sauteed or roasted with olive oil and garlic. Don't waste your time with this one.

Added ground sausage and rice to mine. Way too much mayo and not enough cheese. Most definitely needs some tinkering :/

Its Okay, nothing spectacular. Based on the reviews I was expecting more, but just Okay. Too much breadcrumbs for my taste, the breadcrumbs were almost too overpowering. I would suggest 1 cup of breadcrumb topping, more cheese and seasonings are Needed!

I made this for my husband's birthday and he really loved it. My mom said it tasted like a dish that she lost her recipe for long ago, so she was thrilled I found this one.
